Popup Blocker Manager New in DT 5 
With the Popup Blocker Manager, a list of allowed and not allowed sites can be managed. Blocked sites can also be viewed. The administrator can define a sound or a cursor icon when a popup is blocked.
Autofill New in DT 5
Autofill allows users to fill out many forms on the Internet with the click of a button. User information will automatically be entered into the appropriate form fields.
Search Box Splitter New in DT 5
A splitter can be used to expand or shorten the size of the search box.
Slide Panel New in DT 5
The slide panel is a rich content window that drops down. It can be linked to another functionality such as a login, a chat, or a search.
Silent upgrade
Improved in DT 5
The user will see an upgrade only after reboot or after an Explorer.exe instance has been shut down and reloaded. New! Zip compression of the upgrade file has been added to increase speed. New! Safe and secure: the system checks whether the DLL is signed with the certificate of origin.
404 error redirection Improved in DT 5
This optional feature replaces the default 404 error page. If the user enters a wrong URL, Dynamic Toolbar can redirect the user to a custom page. It's also possible to pass a parameter toolbarID to the custom page. New ! The administrator can set the 404 error redirection to on or off by default. Users can also change the toolbar properties to set it on or off.
Hide/Remove other toolbars
Displays a list of toolbars installed on the system. The dialog box offers the ability to hide or remove the competitive toolbars.
Toolbar upgrade
The toolbar can trigger different DLL upgrades. Silent upgrade mode: The user will see this upgrade only after reboot or after Explorer.exe instance has been shut down and reloaded. Window upgrade mode: Shows a window reminding that a newer version is available. MenuLink mode: When a new version is available, the toolbar automatically displays a menu item. Visible upgrade system: Uses a customized HTML window or a small yellow bar under the toolbar to prompt the user for an upgrade.
Display and launch window shortcuts
The toolbar can get all shortcuts in a specific folder and display it in a menu. When the user clicks on the shortcut, the application will be launched.
URL Auto Redirect
Allows the toolbar to redirect a predefined URL to a specific location.
Support UTF standards. The toolbar supports the Unicode UTF standards--text can be displayed in international alphabets (Japanese, Russian, Chinese, etc.).

Allows users to translate keywords or an entire Web page into several languages directly from the toolbar. Up to 10 different languages are available, including French, German, and Spanish. Request this feature.
Dictionary
Helps your users look up terms from the toolbar text box and obtain the definition for specific keywords. Request this feature.
Multiple configuration
This allows you to create multiple configuration files that will enable your users to switch from one toolbar interface to another. For instance, this is very interesting in the case of a multilanguage toolbar. Your users can switch from the English to the French toolbar in a snap. Or you can offer several type of searches using an interface for general search and another one for flights, online booking with specific menus and buttons.
If your toolbar is for Intranet use, multiple configurations enable the creation of different toolbars based on each department's unique needs.
Each toolbar can have a different aspect and purpose. For example, a toolbar for the customer service could use the News ticker to announce a new promotion. A custom toolbar for the department of Production, Marketing, Sales, Finance...could respectively featured different icons and menus related to their specific needs and launch most frequently-used applications like Word, Excel, Power Point, PDF...

Visible right side button
A button can be defined on the right that will be visible and will be the last to be hidden if the toolbar is partially hidden. It could be useful as an advertisement button.
Zoom in/Zoom out
Allows users to quickly increase/decrease the size of a Web page. Zoom in/out makes the IE Explorer Web page up to 4 times smaller or larger.
Time zone feature
Features the current local time of different countries on the toolbar. The 10 most popular countries are presented by default. Users can customize and add 5 more countries.
Default home page
Set your site as users’ homepage by default when they open a new browser.
DNS error redirection
This optional feature will redirect a Domain Name Server (DNS) error to a custom page. It's also possible to pass a parameter toolbar ID to the custom page.
Menu icons
Bitmaps can be added alongside menu items in drop-down menus in much the same way that buttons can be altered.
Launch external application More Advanced! (great for Intranet use)
Buttons can be added to launch an external program or a file from the toolbar. But from a predefined list, you can now also from the menu launch external applications installed in the user’s computer. Thanks to the option "Add/Edit my links" this allows a higher degree of customization for the user.
Hypertext link instead of button
Simple hypertext links can be used on the toolbar instead of buttons. Hypertext links are the type of links you'll find on a Web site underlined text that's displayed in a different color.
Active button
Dynamic Toolbar 5 supports active buttons. A second bitmap (active) can appear on a normal button or advertisement button when the mouse pointer is over it.
Ad button
Dynamic Toolbar 5 supports an advertisement button that can change from one ad to another when the user loads a new Web page.
On/Off radio button
New support of radio button styles.
Auto-update/upgrade system
Dynamic Toolbar 5 builds its interface and functionality at run-time from data stored in a small file (1-10 kilobytes) that resides on the server. This means that if you want to update the bar, just edit the text configuration file you will not have to do any programming or recompiling. Every bar installed in users’ browsers is automatically updated. This file can be zipped to reduce even more the size of it.
The update is done automatically without a warning or a message box. The graphic images that Dynamic Toolbar 5 uses are downloaded from the server and cached on the user’s hard drive. Hence, you can easily update the appearance of the toolbar by replacing the images in the configuration file. Each installed toolbar updates itself automatically.
The toolbar has also an upgrade system. The upgrade is use for a new version of the DLL. Users are notified when an upgrade is made to the toolbar’s DLL. To ensure a flawless update, a warning is issued if more than one instance of Internet Explorer is opened. This message can be change in the configuration file.
Upgrade chance
This option is used as a server load balancing solution when starting the toolbar auto-upgrade. By default the upgrade probability is 100%, so most of users will upgrade the toolbar cab file during the same day.
